Transcript formats

Completed media jobs and History rows can export transcript content. Choose the format before selecting Download. Changing the export format does not rerun transcription.

FormatContents
TXTPlain recognized or translated text.
SRTTimed subtitle cues. Requires timestamped segments.
VTTWebVTT subtitle cues. Requires timestamped segments.
JSONStructured source, language, timing, translation and WhisperARC version data.
DOCXFormatted Word document with source details and separate transcription or translation sections.

Timing and translated results

SRT and VTT need timestamped segments. If a result does not contain timing data, WhisperARC does not create an empty subtitle file. TXT remains the safest format for short live dictations that do not expose segments.

When translation was applied, JSON and DOCX can include the source and translated text. Subtitle exports use the final displayed result with the available timing.

Audio formats from History

History rows with playable audio can also export the recording. WhisperARC copies WAV directly and converts the other supported formats for you.

FormatUse
