Queue lifecycle
A local file first appears as Ready. This gives you time to check its position and options before processing starts. The queue is saved on this computer and runs one job at a time.
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| Ready | Staged locally and waiting for you to start it. |
| Queued | Waiting behind an earlier job. |
| Preparing | Converting or segmenting media for transcription. |
| Transcribing | Running Local Mode or Cloud speech recognition. |
| Completed | Result is available to export. |
| Failed / Interrupted / Canceled | The row can be retried or removed. |
Job actions
- Drag Ready rows to change the processing order.
- Start one row without releasing its Ready neighbors or launch every Ready row together.
- Pause a queued row before it starts to return it to Ready.
- Cancel an active row or remove any row you no longer need.
- Retry failed, interrupted or canceled rows from their row action.
- Change the export format without rerunning transcription.
Resume after restart
If WhisperARC closes while a job is running, that job becomes Interrupted. Open WhisperARC again and retry it. Completed sections can be reused as long as the source file and processing choices have not changed.
Changes during processing
You can record a dictation while file work is pending. When the recording stops, WhisperARC gives the dictation priority then resumes the file queue. Model and compute changes remain locked until the active media work finishes.
