Install WhisperARC

1. Download the Windows installer from the official WhisperARC website.
2. Run the installer and choose the language you want WhisperARC to use: English, French, German, Italian or Spanish.
3. Choose Install the models now or Install them later. WhisperARC includes the processing engines in both cases.
4. If you install models now, choose a Whisper model; Large v3 Turbo q5 is preselected. Choose a Qwen model for translation and Assistant; 2B is preselected, with 0.8B, 4B and 9B also available. Let installation finish downloading the selected models.
5. If you install models later, the first launch opens Model on OpenAI KEY. Add your own key, activate a paid Cloud license, or download local Whisper and Qwen models from Model.
6. For Local Mode, let the selected models finish downloading and loading before recording.

First-install defaults

On a new installation Ctrl + Space is the dictation shortcut and starts in Hold mode. Choose Activate / stop in Settings to use that same shortcut for a longer dictation. Ctrl + W starts or stops system-audio capture. WhisperARC also plays a short sound before recording.

Updates keep your shortcuts, sound preference and model choices. If you have used WhisperARC before, the values shown in Settings are the ones that apply on this computer. The window adapts to its opening screen; moving it between screens follows Windows scaling without forcing it back into place.

After installation

• Use only the installer linked from whisperarc.app.
• Keep enough SSD space for WhisperARC, shared media and translation components plus every local model you install.
• The installed build can start with Windows. The development build cannot register itself to start automatically.
• You can download more Whisper and Qwen models later from Model without reinstalling WhisperARC.
