Glossaries and custom spellings
Create General and project glossaries so WhisperARC writes names, products, acronyms and specialist terms consistently.

How glossaries work
A custom spelling tells WhisperARC how a word or phrase should be written. Keep common names and terms in General. Use project glossaries for vocabulary that only belongs to one client or subject.
Create and use a glossary
- Open Spellings and keep General selected for rules that should always apply.
- Enter the recognized form in Heard as and the preferred form in Write as then select Add.
- Create a project glossary for client-specific or domain-specific terms.
- Select that project to make it active for future microphone dictations and system-audio captures.
- Rename or delete project glossaries when they are no longer needed. General cannot be renamed or deleted.
Rule priority and snapshots
When a project glossary is selected, its rules are combined with General. A project rule wins when both glossaries define the same Heard as form. Corrections match complete words or phrases without changing unrelated words.
WhisperARC captures a glossary snapshot when a recording starts. Editing the glossary afterward affects new recordings. Imported file jobs do not use glossaries.
Local storage
Glossaries stay in your Windows account. WhisperARC uses them to guide recognition and correct matching words before translation.
